Due: All entries must be uploaded online, then the web link must be emailed and "in our hands” by 5:00 P.M. January 25th 2019. Eligibility:
Students and schools entering the contest must be affiliated with a Colorado Springs area High School.
Students may submit a maximum of two entries (one per category, maximum of 2 entries per student).
The entry must be student-produced and created between August 2018 through January 25th, 2019.
For the purposes of this competition, student-produced means that the majority of the planning, writing, scripting, filming, & editing of the entry was done by high school students.
Categories:
Short Non-fiction: Choose a journalistic piece, human-interest story, or documentary under 3 minutes
Long Non-fiction: Choose a journalistic piece, human-interest story, or documentary over 3 minutes up to 10 minutes
Short Fiction: Choose a short film or skit format under 3 minutes
Long Fiction: Choose a short film or skit format over 3 minutes up to 10 minutes
PSA or promo: 30 seconds to 2 minutes
Per School Caps:
“Long” categories will have a submission cap of 2 entries per school.
If more than 2 entries are submitted in these categories, only the first 2 received will be eligible for judging.
“Short” categories will have a submission cap of 5 entries per school.
If more than 5 entries are submitted in these categories, only the first 5 received will be eligible for judging.
It is the school’s responsibility to manage this process.
